 | NESTA Invention and Innovation Programme NESTA’s Invention and Innovation programme aims to turn ground-breaking ideas into innovative products, services or techniques with commercial potential. Through the programme NESTA is the UK’s biggest single source of early-stage seed funding, enabling the development of projects that might otherwise not get off the ground. What do we offer? NESTA looks for early stage ideas with considerable commercial potential. NESTA’s investment usually takes the form of a minority equity stake where we invest anywhere between £5,000 and £150,000. For the most promising ventures we can often provide up to £250,000. Who are we looking for? NESTA’s Invention and Innovation Programme supports companies involved in science, technology and / or the arts and seeks to fund innovators with ideas that have the following attributes: 1. The potential to break new ground in their field with innovations that could truly be described as "cutting edge". 2. The intention to exploit their idea commercially - to either develop a business around their idea or license it to another company. The applicant will need to demonstrate that a good market or audience is likely to exist and that they have planned how to exploit their idea. 3.
